President Trump started this morning with a series of Tweets praising the Military, FEMA, and First Responders for their efforts in providing ongoing aid to Puerto Rico.
He made sure everyone knows that Puerto Rico had problems long before the storm hit.
Then he called out the serious problem now faced by Congress. He Tweeted:
“Puerto Rico survived the Hurricanes, now a financial crisis looms largely of their own making[,]” says Sharyl Attkisson. A total lack of accountability say[s] the Governor. Electric and all infrastructure was [a] disaster before hurricanes. Congress to decide how much to spend We cannot keep FEMA, the Military & the First Responders, who have been amazing (under the most difficult circumstances) in P.R. forever!
The Main Stream Media wasted no time taking the President’s Tweet out of context. If you have to read the Tweet again to realize that he didn’t threaten anything, I would be surprised.
The President pointed out a fact. The fact is, “We cannot keep FEMA, the Military & the First Responders… …P.R. forever”
That didn’t seem to matter to the Washington Post who wrote an article titled:
NBC News used the same false idea:
Salon got emotional with their title writing:
The British at BBC News said:
The Independent Writes:
Most of the other headlines gave more details and were slanted. The most accurate was Reuters who said:
The sad reality is none of them, not even Fox News, said anything about the Heroes who are there right now helping the good people of Puerto Rico, except, of course, the President in his Tweets!
The President wasted no time after the Main Stream Media put their foot in their mouth. About two hours after the Media twisted his words he responded in his classic form saying in a Tweet:
“The Fake News Is going all out in order to demean and denigrate! Such hatred!”
God Bless our First Responders, Military, and FEMA for flying to the aid of our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico. At least our President recognizes their hard work.
