The ratings for the NFL continue to prove Trump right and the spoiled NFL players wrong.
This will continue to happen and will eventually reach the point of no return if the NFL doesn’t wise up real quick.
The league better step in – are you listening Roger Goodell?
It literally is now or never.
Because according to Breitbart, “NBC’s Sunday Night Football earned 10.6/18 in metered market results, that fall constitutes a 3% drop from last week’s numbers.”
What makes this even more devastating is that last week’s game was terrible from all points.
Two bad teams depleted by injuries from small markets.
This week had two great teams
The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs team, and a very marketable Houston Texans from one of the biggest markets in the USA.
And at least one owner, Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones, sees the writing on the wall. And is taking action.
“If there is anything disrespecting the flag, then we will not play. Period. We’re going to respect the flag and I’m going to create the perception of it. Joes said according to Fox News.
“I know this. We cannot in the NFL, in any way, give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag. We cannot do that. I know the vice president did leave because in his opinion, the teams were. We know that there is a serious debate in this country about those issues. But there is no question in my mind that the National Football League and the Dallas Cowboys are going to stand up for the flag. Just so we’re clear.”
When asked about players who raised their firsts during the anthem he said he was unaware of it and would take action.
“Yeah, I don’t know about that, but if there is anything that is disrespectful to the flag then we will not play. You understand? If we are disrespecting the flag, then we won’t play. Period. Period. We’re going to respect the flag. And we have. I’m not aware, and wouldn’t know what you’re talking about. I’m not aware of that. If you say you saw it, you saw it. But we as a team are very much on the page together. We’ve made our expression that we’re together.
I’m very supportive of the team but under no circumstances — under no circumstances — will the Dallas Cowboys, I don’t care what happens, under no circumstances as an organization or as coaches and players, not support and stand and recognize and honor the flag. Period.”
