Dolly Parton finally decided to talk about what happened at the Emmy’s. If you don’t remember Hanoi Jane Fonda pulled a fast one on her long-time friend Dolly Parton.

It was a set up as James Woods screamed from the top of every mountain. But still the media ran with the narrative that Dolly was in on the gross political stunt aimed at President Trump.

“Back in 1980 in that movie, we refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot,” Fonda said taking a shot at Trump.

Tomlin croaked, “And in 2017, we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot.”

All the while Dolly looked horrified. Because she was as James Woods said.

He took to twitter to reveal what really happened.

“I know and love @DollyParton. We worked together for months on #StraightTalk. She is a great, loyal, stand-up American. They sandbagged her.”

“Do not judge @DollyParton because she was caught between two gargoyles. I guarantee she would never have approved that copy ahead of time.”

Now Dolly is finally talking about the incident in typically classy fashion saying “When all else fails, do a boob joke,” to Fox News this morning.

She went on to say she was so stunned by Hanoi Jane’s antics she had no choice but to come up with something to say.

She said she was totally taken by surprise when Fonda and Tomlin used their time Emmy’s to attack President Trump.

According to the New York Post, Dolly tired to smack Hanoi Jane’s attempt to attack Trump with a joke, “Well, I know about support.”

“I don’t voice my political opinions,” she told added to the humiliation of Hanoi Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin and every other celebrity trying to bash Trump. “I just get out there and entertain. To me, that’s what I do.”
