BREAKING: Alex Padilla, California’s Secretary of State just got served, over Voter Rolls.

Californians voted for Hillary Clinton over President Donald Trump by a whopping 4 million votes.

President Trump collected at total of 304 electoral votes and Hillary only racked up 227. This crushing defeat was overshadowed by calls from the left to eliminate the Electoral College.

Hillary Clinton had 2.8 million more votes than President Trump when you look at just the votes cast. If you remove California from the equation things would have looked much different. Of course, California isn’t leaving the union anytime soon.

This huge discrepancy in the outcome of the Presidential election of 2016 has spurred actions. Twenty-One Californians have enlisted the assistance of an activist organization to fix the voter rolls in California.

Served with a Certified Letter

The first step in any legal proceeding is to serve notice of intent to take legal action and give them a chance to fix the problem. That is exactly what Judicial Watch did. On August 4, 2017, Judicial Watch announced it has notified California’s Secretary of State, Alex Padilla of their intent to sue if California doesn’t comply with the National Voter Registration Act.

In the complaint letter, Judicial Watch listed eleven counties that have more registered voters than people who are old enough to vote:

 Imperial (102%)

Lassen (102%)

Los Angeles (112%)

Monterey (104%)

San Diego (138%)

San Francisco (114%)

San Mateo (111%)

Santa Cruz (109%)

Solano (111%)

Stanislaus (102%)

Yolo (110%)

In a statement to the Press Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said:

“California’s voting rolls are an absolute mess that undermines the very idea of clean elections…   …It is urgent that California take reasonable steps to clean up its rolls. We will sue if state officials fail to act.”

Judicial Watch has also demanded California turn over certain voter registration statistical information. They have provided 90 days for the State to respond to their demand.

We contacted the office of the Secretary of State two days ago and did not receive any response. We contacted them again today and we were told:

“We have no comment.”
